Business Verification Policy

What verification means

A "Verified by LocalDubaiBusiness" badge means that our team has checked, against information the business supplied, the items on our verification checklist: the business or trade name, a contact person, the email address, the phone or WhatsApp number, the website or domain, the business address, any submitted documentation, the declared services, the declared areas served, and that the person submitting has authority to manage the listing.

What verification does not mean

Verification is not an endorsement. It is not a guarantee of quality, competence, pricing, availability or outcome. It is not a regulatory licence or certification, and it does not confirm that a business holds any particular licence unless we say so explicitly on the listing. It does not make us a party to anything you agree with that business.

How it is granted

Only an authorised administrator can approve verification, and only after every checklist item is resolved. There is no automatic route to verified status anywhere in the platform.

Specifically:

• Paying for Elite or Featured does not result in verification.
• Completing a profile does not result in verification.
• A high LocalDubai Profile Score does not result in verification.
• Claiming a listing does not result in verification.

Statuses

Unclaimed, Claimed, Verification Pending, Information Requested, Verified, Reverification Required, Suspended, Rejected.

Records we keep

For each decision we record the date, the administrator, the checklist results, internal notes, references to any submitted documents, any reverification date, and a full audit history.

Reverification

We may set a reverification date, or require reverification if information changes materially or a credible report suggests a listing is no longer accurate.

Withdrawal

We may withdraw verification at any time, for example where information turns out to be inaccurate or where a listing breaches our policies.

Status of this document

This document has been prepared as a working draft for a Dubai/UAE-focused platform. It has not been reviewed by a qualified legal practitioner. It must be reviewed and amended by a UAE-qualified lawyer before LocalDubaiBusiness accepts payment or operates commercially.
