How the LocalDubai Profile Score is calculated

The Profile Score is a deterministic measure of how complete and how verified a business profile is on this platform. It is not a review score, it is not derived from Google or any other site, and it cannot be purchased.

Total: 100 points. Weights are stored in the database and versioned; every stored score records the version it was calculated under.

What the score is not

It does not measure quality, reliability, pricing, licensing or customer satisfaction. A business with a low score may be excellent — it may simply not have completed its profile. Where too little information exists, we show “Limited information available” rather than a number, because a low number would imply a judgement we have not made.

This score reflects profile completeness, verification and platform activity signals available to LocalDubaiBusiness. It is not a rating, recommendation, endorsement or assessment of the quality of a business's products or services.

Who can change it

Nobody types a score in. There is no administrative field that sets a score, and no business action that awards one. Administrators correct the underlying business information; the system recalculates from that information and writes a new entry to the score history. Buying Elite or Featured placement changes nothing here.

Scores are recalculated when a profile is saved, when verification status changes, when the weighting configuration changes, and nightly.
